The Final work presented, so I ended up doing a typeface out of Smoke/smoking. Chrystal clear idea is that smoke is going to defeat the surrounding objects. At the end, there’s nothing else but smoke. Smoke sans is a terminator. And btw, How much does the smoke weight??

My Idea
Cancer in a lung! Yak and icky. This might be one of the perspectives I’m going to work.
First idea was to build 2 typefaces, one sans and one serif. I’m still working on it….
The lungs and veins are organic so maybe I’m going to use those elements making sans typeface. And cigarettes for the Serif typeface
Cigarette stumps are good structure for making typeface. You can easily variate the lenght of the cigarette. Matches and lighters are also a good material for creating different shapes and forms.
I’m going to make smoking hot garamond typeface. The main use of it will be at posters or in big surfaces (interiors, window tapes etc).

Quick sample I made from lungs and cigarettes. These could be nice in real sizes. Cigarette is 300pt long, so the capitals should be 300pt.

Feelign sick.Different approach.
In some theory via 7 people every human in world are connected. Worlds population is about 6,5 billion and 1 billion smokes. So in that theory every one knows somebody who smokes. Thats why smoking is a ultra meme.Tuesday 13.02.2007
Back in schoolSo if every people in the world is connected and 1/7 are smokers, we are all connected to smoking. I’d like to think that smoking is a “bad” connection between people, regardless to our backgrounds. Smoking surrounds us and we are the negative spaces in smoke. Does that make any sense?
If you think a space witch is full of air and smoke particles, then the objects are some kind of holes in the space.
Exaple 3 - If you think that people are letters, and people live in a world. World is constructed in two (or three) elements —> air and land (water).
